About the Broken Strings Band

The Broken Strings Band has just two members, but at times it sounds like a drummer, a bass player, a rhythm guitarist AND a lead guitarist have joined in with them as they play. Tyler and Trevor have been making music together for almost 4 years. They practice after school each day for about 4 hours- just about 5 days a week. This dedication to the mastery of the guitar has produced some beautiful original songs, as well as some exciting and touching re-imaginations of songs we have all grown to love. The band has not been tied down to one genre, and this has allowed for some very unique medleys and style mixtures that you never have heard. Tyler is the oldest and he started playing when he was 13. Trevor started at the same time but at the younger age of 7.

The band won Callahan County’s Got Talent in 2024. They have also performed at multiple private events. They performed with Britain’s Got Talent contestant James Geary at St June’s Restaurant in the Grand Cayman Islands and more recently, in Homer, New York at a Tommy Emmanuel concert.

Tyler and Trevor always look forward to each and every performance- with the hope- that all of us can look back and say, “We got to hear them when they were just two kids playing their hearts out!”
